Born in Paris in 1975, Franck Lesieur has always been attracted to the drawing and the painting since his childhood.
Two events will work as an electrochock: the discovery of the Louvre museum in the mid 80’s and the emergence of the hip hop culture in the late 80’s, with graffiti.

At the age of 16, Franck Lesieur bought his first aerosol spray cans and posca markers, but very soon what really obssess him are the characters and the portraits in particular. After a transit at the Beaux-Arts du Valais in Switzerland and another one in the faculty of fine arts in Paris 8, he decided to follow a self-taught way. From these tools, he retains the posca marker that he joins to oil painting, just like a bridge between two worlds.
He now lives in Vannes, Brittany, where he paints, exhibits and teaches academic drawing in high school.
Franck describes himself as a valoriste and not as a colourist.
